Our Programs

Tefillah, Torah, and community for every age

Shabbat Services

Our Shabbat services are the heart of our community. We welcome the Shabbat with Kabbalat Shabbat and Arvit on Friday evenings, followed by Shabbat morning Shacharit, Torah reading, and Musaf. Our services follow the beautiful Sephardic minhag and are conducted with warmth and kavanah.

Seudah Shlishit and Havdalah round out the Shabbat experience, bringing our kehillah together in song and fellowship.

Torah Learning

Weekly Parashat HaShavua classes explore the weekly Torah portion through the lens of our greatest commentators. Our Talmud shiur delves into the depth of the Gemara, while Halacha classes address practical Jewish law for daily life.

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, our study programs are designed to challenge, inspire, and connect you to the wisdom of our tradition.

Holiday Events & Celebrations

From the awesome days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to the joy of Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim, and Pesach — our synagogue comes alive for every chag. Community sedarim, megillah readings, sukkah gatherings, and festive meals create lasting memories for families.

Special programs for Tisha B'Av, Shavuot, and other occasions ensure that every moment in the Jewish calendar is marked with meaning and togetherness.

Youth Groups

Our youth programs nurture the next generation of Jewish leaders. From Shabbat youth services to Sunday activities, arts and crafts, and educational workshops, children and teens build lasting friendships and a strong Jewish identity.

Dedicated youth leaders create engaging, age-appropriate programming that makes Torah and mitzvot fun and meaningful.

Community & Chesed

Our chesed committee organizes meals for families in need, bikur cholim (visiting the sick), and support for community members during difficult times. Social events, communal dinners, and guest speakers bring our kehillah together throughout the year.

We believe that a strong community is built through acts of kindness, and every member has a role to play in making our synagogue a true home.

Lifecycle Events

From brit milah and baby namings to bar and bat mitzvah celebrations, weddings under the chuppah, and beyond — Magen David of Madison is there for every milestone. Our community comes together to celebrate simachot and support one another during times of mourning.
